Privacy policy

Cookies

Storytroopers.com itself does not use cookies for any purpose. Our blogs, however, use Wordpress for easier management and content creation, which uses cookies. The only cookies Wordpress uses are for logging back in to our website, and remembering commenter information for faster replying. All Wordpress cookies expire after a set amount of time. If you wish to remove the cookies manually, simply log out of our blogs or delete all cookies from the browser history. For more information on how Wordpress handles their cookies, please visit the Wordpress Codex page about Cookies.

Analytics

For improving the user experience of Storytroopeers.com we decided to integrate Google Analytics in our website. All collected information will be kept private and will only be used to improve the website based on the userbase. The only exception for this is milestones of pageviews, which may or may not be made public. Please refer to Google's privacy policies for more information regarding the way Google and their partner collects information and use said information when you use one of Google's partner's websites or apps. We are not responsible for Google's actions.

Blogspaces

For our stories and review sections we use two separate sub-websites both using Wordpress for managing, that we refer to as as blogs. As limitations by one.com, we use a single database for both blogs with a prefix format. There are plans for future blogs, but nothing is conclusive. We reserve the right to add more blogs to our database without further notice.
All account passwords are salted and one-way hashed before stored in our databases. We take user security and privacy very seriously. For more information on how Wordpress stores passwords and user information, please visit either this page which can be used as a guideline, or the official Wordpress.com website.
We do not use your information for any other purposes than the blog itself. We do not send you unsolicited emails and/or spam, sell your information, or even access your information at any point except if ordered by law enforcement. We do however maintain the right to edit the database for maintenance or technical reasons without any notice.

Comments

We do not participate nor intend to censoring our users on the blogs. Commenting will and always will be allowed for anyone with a registered account. However, we do reserve the right to delete and/or ban your account and/or ip address in case of one or multiple offenses of our community guidelines. The community guidelines include but are not limited by:
-No hate speech directed to a single user or group of users
-No exclusion or hatred towards a group of people. We're all equal
-No threats . If one of our moderators finds you sending threats to other users we will contact the authorities and remove your account with comments immediately
-No linking to unrelated webpages. This excludes image-hosting sites as long as the image isn't offtopic to the post or parent comment
-NSFW comments are only permitted on NSFW posts. NSFW posts can be identified by the [NSFW - Author] prefix on the title and/or the NSFW topic and/or tag
-NSFW comments must be on topic of the original post or the comment you've replied to
-All moderators are carefully selected and they are permitted to remove your post if they find it doesn't fit our community standards. If you disagree with their actions, please email us at our support email (found under contact us) with as much information as possible so we can review the case. Please note that we take this very seriously, so don't worry that it'll fall in deaf ears.
We reserve the right to add more community guidelines without further notice.
In case your comment and/or account was unrightfully removed by a moderator please contact us at our contact email, so we can look into it.

Posts

Storytroopers.com and its members are doing their best to provide high quality content like you'd expect. However, no other member of the Storytroopers.com team is responsible for the posts, comments or other content which another Storytroopers.com member might post, comment, say or distribute.
An exception to this is official merch, which isn't being sold yet. Merch will be a team effort, once released. If someone posted content which you find controversial, inappropiate or have any other concerns and want to speak to our team about it, we encourage you to go to the About Us page and voice your concerns through our email adress. We'll do our best to adress the issue within 24 hours, with as much transparancy as possible.
Despite that, the Storytroopers.com team is build from the ground up with only the best team members we could find. We do our best to keep it that way!.

We want this community to strive just as much as you do.
